It will be a sin to visit Chicago and not drop by at Millennium Park. The park is situated just north of the Art Institute of Chicago and includes some famous sights of its own like the Cloud Gate. Just ask a local tourist where “the bean” is and you will be able to find it.

Another popular attraction worth visiting is the Crown Fountain which is in the form of two huge block columns. The columns feature the faces of thousands of the city’s residents which change after every five minutes. Admissions to some attractions like the Lurie Garden and Pritzker Pavilion is free so make sure that you have your camera with you.

The Art Institute of Chicago

If you are an art aficionado you will love the Art Institute of Chicago. The art gallery is home to some of the country’s most impressive collection of post impressionist and impressionist paintings as well as other pieces of art. The museum also has other artifacts on display such as European and American armor that dates back to the 17^th and 20^th centuries. It is open every day with extended hours on Thursdays and Fridays. The best part is that admission is free on Thursday evenings from 5pm to 8pm.
